In spite of the suzzling summer sun, it has became big population in a moment throughout a town. Because, you know, tomorrow is the most unforgettable summer day. The thermometer on the bypass stands at 36 degrees C. I don't think I will be the only one who thinks the sunshine this summer is harder than the last yearas. In hundred-degree weather, I went to the heart of the city today.

I passed in front of the Sogo department in the hottest time zone. There were batch of tourists and students pointed at the bomb areas just like looking back on history for 63 years ago. But I wonder who could say the realities of the terrible devastation of the atomic bomb. At one end of the bridge over the Motoyasu river,
The oleander all out seemed to set on that day. : tomorrow.

The themometer in a car read 36 degrees C also. Then I was hurry to turn up the heat. I mean, the temparature extremes really tells on me.

広島では忘れられない明日を控え、うだるような暑気にもかかわらず、町全体の人口が一瞬増えているようだ。 バイパスの寒暖計が３６℃を示していた。 去年の同じ気温の時より直射日光が痛いように感じるのは私だけだろうか。 指すような陽ざしの中、市内中心部まで出掛けた。

一番暑い時間帯にそごう前を通過する。 ６３年前の史実と重ねて指さす人の一団が、あそこにもここにもできている。 あの日の広島を誰が言い表せるのだろうか。 元安川の橋の袂には白いキョウチクトウがあの日にあの日に合わせるかのように満開だった。

車に設置されている温度計も３６℃を示していた。 急いでエアコンの温度を上げた。 外気温との差が身にこたえる。

When it's hot, do as hot as possible like self-annihilation, we can only survive with this. So, I made baked curry. Many different spices were used to make it so so hot
because I think I have to set my stomach off otherwise I will suffer from the heat.

I used very convenient packed curry paste appeared on the market to season the curryied rice. I put the sliced curry cube into the fried rice which was no seasoning, and continued to fry.

I put fried rice which was seasoned with some packed curry paste in a flameproof casserole, then topping with curry roux and spread pizza cheese on it. A white sauce would be better to make it richly, but I would like make it harder not to feel dull.

Kept the oven in high temparature, soon the cheese melt and grilled until the surface got burned. Here comes the end.

I couldn't tell it was hot or the curry was hot, but anyway I think I did rather well. The melted cheese stretched so long, you know, thus the lunch time passed by happily with lots of smiling.

焼きカレー

暑い時は思いっきり暑く、心頭滅却すれば火もまた涼しの境地のこの頃だ。 焼きカレーを作った。 特別辛くバシッと味をきかせて、胃袋にショックを与えなければどうも乗り切れない。

カレーピラフの味付けは市販のインスタントカレーを使った。 味付けなしで炒めた炒飯に細切りにしたカレールーのブロックを加え、さらに炒める。

耐熱皿に並べカレールーを上掛けし、ピッツア用チーズを適当に散らす。 ホワイトソースを加えれば濃厚になるのだが、そんなやさしい味では体がビシッとしない。

オーブンは高温で、チーズが溶けて焦げ目がつけば出来上がり。

暑いんだか熱いんだかわからないが、かなりいける味だった。 溶けたチーズがグググ～ンと伸びて、遊びながらの楽しい食事になった。

Don't you believe this pic shows the morning, do you? It is the bright blue sky, yes it is. I went to the nearest mailbox to drop two letters. Though you've never felt the buzz of cicadas and the muggy heat, but there's a bright blue sky spreading this highly position in the sky.

As there're nothing in the empty sky, I was subjected to direct sunlight. So hot and it's almost killing me. I used the parasol in spite of the kissing distance. I only have this one. Uh-oh, how should I say by the materisal noun when counting a parasol? Yeah, just saying one,two,three...simly. Right?

There's a house planting some squashes on the hedge. I could see the sun light through the leaves. I could say the result will be very well because it's much more closer to the sun than on the field.

The park was empty that no one played. Around a swing or a sandbox there was dense with weeds. I guess that no one could play under the heat like this. Or could be there was any kids left who wanted to play in a small park. I intended to get down into the park, but I didn't. I went back to home quickly because I got beaten by the intense heat which seems to melt up the road.

これでも朝の風景です。 抜けるような青空です。 近所のポストに夏の便りを２通出しに行きました。 セミの鳴き声やムッとする暑さは伝わりませんが、正真正銘の真夏の空がこんなに高く広がっていました。

さえぎるものがないから直射日光の暑いこと、暑いこと。 すぐそこなのにたまらず日傘を出してきました。 たったひとつの日傘、あれ？傘はなんて数えるんでしたっけ。。。１本２本･･･！

垣根を利用してかぼちゃを育てているお家がありました。 葉が透けて見えます。 太陽にずっと近いからきっと甘いかぼちゃができるでしょう。

公園には誰も遊んでいませんでした。 ブランコの回りも砂場の回りも雑草が生い茂っていました。 こんな暑さじゃ外にも出られないのでしょうか。 それとも、公園で遊ぶような子供はもういなくなったのでしょうか。 静かな公園に降りてみようと思ったのですが、
道路が溶けるほどの陽ざしに負けて、急いで帰りました。

The heat is at a peak, I think. There is no point in being anythin other than turn defiant. Since I haven't done any sports at all, I sicretly aspire to this hot summer as it seems doing some excise though I'm keeping still. In fact, I repeatedly lose and regain weight between summer and winter around 2 or 3kg. That's what I thought.

Well the time has come. I read the paper this morning written on which Mr. Fukuda's second cabinet lineup. Then I felt it is only the beginning of breaking apart at the seama in Japan. We will not be able to avoid the economic downturn more than now. You know it is hard when people keep putting things through the pipeline, but once it starts to break down, it will end so quickly. Like a dam break, it will take its toll on us even how much we do our very best. The leaders of this nation who came to the official residence by a luxury car cannot hear any sprung sounds from a dam which is almost broken soon.

Well, I made scones by die-cutting. It is very easy to make becase of only a bowl needed. Lifting the flour mixture and the butter while rubbing results in light pastry. Then make a well in the center, add the cream. It is one of the most simple biscuits that I want to keep aside always.

Actually I was sedulous to made scones a double amount. The heat was increasing hotter and hotter as I used the oven. There is no point in being anything other than go through with laughing.

Here, I made a lot of scones.

Like a moutain, I made. Thus I would try to make a mountain by scones.

It looks higher by looking up from below than looking down.

暑さも絶好調、もうこうなったら開き直るしかない。 運動と名の付くものは何もしていないから、夏はじっとしているだけでも運動に匹敵するのじゃないかと密かに期待をしている。 実際、夏冬で２～３kgは体重が違うから、そうなのだろうと納得する。

いよいよ始まった。 新しい内閣の発表を新聞でじっくり読み、 壊れ行く日本が始まったように感じた。 経済の悪化は逃れられないだろう。 ものを作り上げる時はなかなか大変だが、壊れる時はあっという間だ。 ダムの決壊のように、かなり努力をしても、相当の犠牲を払うことになるだろう。 高級車で官邸に乗り付けるこの国のリーダー達の耳にはその決壊するダムのひび割れの音が聞こえないのだろうか。

型抜きスコーンを作った。 ボールひとつでできるスコーンはとても簡単。 粉とバターを両手でサラサラになるまで混ぜて、生クリームを加える。 シンプルなスコーンはいつも身近に置いておきたい。

せっせ、せっせと倍量作った。 オーブンを稼動するのだから、暑さも更にヒートアップ。 もうこうなれば笑って、笑って、やり抜くのだ。

山のようにたくさんできた。

だから山を作ってみた。

山は下から見上げた方がもっと高くそびえて見える。

My friend who are living in Kasahara in Okayama Pref. sent lots peaches to me yesterday which she and her husband had raised with loving care. Since those are fully-ripened ones, so delicious I have never ate before. A minute after I received this parcel, I made a phone call to her. Actually she was not there but I had a talk with her husband. According to what he said, they have grew the peach trees just as a hobby. I am so happy to have such a friend.

The story if you asked which is connected with peaches, I have lots of memories in the past. It was me to be falling love with peaches, and I always took big bites. Only the peaches could melt me and capture my heart when I was a kid.

Actually this is the beginning of August, but the same hot as yesterday and maybe it will be continued till the end of this month. I can't stop telling how hot the weather is everyday. I think this is really stress. Stress can be a good friend or an enemy depending on. The more I suffer through a truly unbearable summer, the more it hits me. Then I would try to enjoy as much as this heat.

About the peaches I got yesterday, there are only two left in the fridge today. I passed most of them to my friends like selling cold beer on a hot summer. It's fun to me to share such a small matter with friends.

岡山の倉敷に住んでいる友達から昨日桃が送られてきた。 友人夫婦が丹誠込めて育てた桃だ。 完熟の桃だったので、それはそれは甘くておいしかった。 荷物が届くや否や電話をかけた。 彼女は出掛けて留守だったけれど、初めて彼女の夫と話をした。 話によれば、桃は趣味で育てていると言うのだった。 いい友達を持ったものだと嬉しくなってしまう。。。

桃にまつわる話は過去の数え切れないほど持っている。 大好物の桃をいつもかぶりついていた。 桃だけには子供の頃メロメロだった。

八月が始まる。 今日も昨日と同様に暑い。 この暑さは月末まで続く気配だ。 毎日暑い暑いと言わないではいられない。 暑さは相当なストレスになっていると思う。 ストレスは置かれている立場にも寄るが、敵にも味方にもなりうるものだ。 耐え難い夏の暑さにげんなりすればするほど、そのストレスに負けてしまう。 であれば、この暑さを目一杯楽しむことにしよう。

昨日届いた桃だが、今朝また二つ嫁に行き、今日はたった二つになって冷蔵庫に残っている。 めったに口にすることはできない無農薬の完熟桃だ。　この喜びを友人達と共有しないではいられない。

What on earth, we got a thunderstorm today again. Three days in a row we got a thunderstorm in every afternoon. Do you believe that? Do you? I am stressed out and my shoulders got very tight from stress. I mean I have stressful days because of the thunderstorm.

When I sat on a deck-chair putting in a hall which I used to use in the garden today, I rang a bell that why not putting rain in a bucket now. Here here, I got two bucketful of rain with only a couple minutes. Does someone devise the thunder power charging a storage battery?

The abnormal weather left its mark on me. If you were not John Wayne it, otherwise you can't survive.

あ～あ、まただぁ･･･

なんてことでしょう、また今日も雷雨。。。　ふぅ～。 ３日連続、午後になると雷雨に見舞われました。　信じられますかぁ？　ﾌﾞﾂﾌﾞﾂ･･･。　ストレス溜まりっぱなしで、肩こりこりです。　これもそれもみぃ～んなアイツ、そう雷さまのせいです。

外で使っていたデッキチェアーを玄関に置いて、雨降りを眺めていました。　そうだ！　これだけ降っているんだからバケツに溜めようと突然ひらめきました。　というわけでこの写真、わずか数分でこんなに溜まったのです。　誰か雷パワーの蓄電を発明しないでしょうか？

異常気象には相当参っています。　タフでなければ生きてはいけません。

Again I was caught in a heavy thuderstorm today. It was like a dream to look back on now because the beating sun has been shining again. And the cicadas have started into song that once stopped during the thunderstorm.

I have a bad feeling about something for this summer that has striked me as abnormal.

今日もまたすごい雷雨に襲われた。 振り返れば夢のよう、今また嘘のように強い陽ざしが差し始めた。 しばらくなりをひそめていたセミが再び大合唱を始めた。

何かしら異常さをいっぱいはらんだ夏だ。

テーブルの上も夏姿

You know there's famous confectionery named 'Country Marm.' It is a semisoft cooky which is full of handmade pleasure. I dreamed up to make it. Unfortunately, there's no chocolate but some raisin. And also cocoa powder actually I have, so why not?

Put the calculated butter into a bowl, then add the sugar later. Sift the flour and......well, I do love making some sweets. We can buy any sweets from around the world these days, but still I am sedulous confectionery making today.

Then, finally I did it what you can see on the pic.

After came from the oven, I kept cookies cool down unthinkingly. That made them almost no moisture remained. At last it became an ordinary one. It contains less sugar so by just that much the sweetened raisin reminds me marm's soft-cenrered.

『カントリーマーム』という名のお菓子がある。 手作り感いっぱいの柔らかめのクッキーだ。 ふと作ってみようと思った。　あいにくチョコレートはないが、干しぶどうはある。　ココアパウダーもあるから、よ～し、作ってみるか。

ボールにバターを入れ、砂糖を入れ、ふるった粉を入れ･･･こうした作業が楽しい。　あの『カントリーマーム』のやさしい味を求めて、なんでも買える世の中なのに、せっせと今日もお菓子作り。

そして出来上がったのが写真のクッキー。

焼成後うっかりそのまま冷ましてしまったので、クッキーの水分が飛んでしまった。　結局普通のクッキーになってしまった。　糖分控えめ、その分レーズンの甘さがママの優しさのよう。

The thunderstorm yesterday played havoc with spreading the damage. Around here at where I'm living, there's a thunderstorm that brought me busy with bouncing in and out of a house. I'm afraid that we faced once again against the terrible power of nature that is beyond our imagination.

The fishy wind blew up then I looked up into the sky. I thought it was white before but the thunderhead had changed without notice and was covering over the sky. Looked like a black world spreading, it had been glowing up as someone watches. Soon after, the thunder that used to roll the distant sound in the sky came suddenly near here, and it thundered and lightened. However so scared of it, but I unpluged the pc or others and closed the windows since I got a lot of lightning damages. I became so busy suddenly.

In time, there came big drops of rain from the sky falling, and a minute later the drops became a drenching downpour. It got dusky outside and blew up. It was so muggy but turned to be cool as if the airconditioner was putting on.

You shoudn't come close to the windows. You shouldn't get near to the plugs. Thus I stopped the fun provided with a cold blast which I bought recently, then I had no alternative but to open a book. Even the rumbling of thunder had continued without cessation here and there, I could get lost in the book.

Since my house is standing almost the top of the hill, I have never been damaged by flooding thankufully but the typhoon. The summer sky fianlly cleared and became much muggy after a shower.

昨日の激しい雷雨はたくさんの被害をもたらしたようだ。 私が住んでいるこの辺りでも、急激な気象の変化に家を出たり入ったり忙しかった。 至極残念だが、人間の予測不可能な自然の脅威を再び目にすることになってしまった。

何やら怪しい風が吹き始め、空を見上げた。 白いと思っていた積乱雲が黒く空を覆い始めていた。 まるで暗黒の世界が広まるがごとく、みるみる成長していた。 やがて遠くで鳴っていた雷がいきなり近くでとどろいた。 怖いけれど何度も雷の被害を被っているので、コンセントを抜いたり窓を閉めたり･･･降って湧いた忙しさだった。

やがて大粒の雨が空からポツポツ落ち始め、あっという間にそれは痛いほどになった。 外は薄暗く変わり、風も出てきた。 あれほど蒸し暑かったのに、クーラーが効いているかのように肌寒くなった。

窓の側に近づいてはいけない。 コンセントの側も危ない。 買ったばかりの冷風扇も止めて、やることなく本を開く。 近く遠くとどろく雷の音は絶え間なく続いていたけれど、 次第に佳境に入った本の中へ引き込まれていった。

山のてっぺんに家が建っているので、台風の被害には度々遭うが、ありがたいことに水の被害には縁がない。 にわか雨が通り過ぎた後は余計に蒸し暑い夏空が再び広がっていた。

To dry clothes in the sun, I got out in a garden having with a white basket. Suddenly I heard the weird sound something like as dry as a bone. The sound was came from a cicada that flew out from the tree. As I got scared because of it's brown wings spreading out that I squared up to it unconsciously. It was a female large brown cicada.

Actually on that day, I saw several large brown cicadas flying out from the tree. I wonder how they will have spend under this unusula hot condition till the end of their lives. It might be them who surprised more than me. Because this is their fisrst time and also the last summer for them.

After hunging the washing out to dry, I happened to catch my eyes at this cast-off skin of a cicada. Boy, that was a newborn cicada at this point.

アブラゼミ

洗濯物を干しに白いかごを持って庭に出た。 カラカラカラ～ッと乾いた音を立てて、金木犀の木の中からセミが飛んで出た。 広げた茶色の羽根が一瞬目に入って、思わず怖くて身構えてしまった。 メスのアブラゼミだった。 その日は何匹もアブラゼミが木の中から飛んで行った。 セミの短い夏は異常な暑さの中でも同じように過ぎるのだろうか。 驚いたのはセミの方で、生まれて初めての夏は最後の夏でもあるのだから。

ふと目に止まったこの抜け殻。 あ～、ここで生まれたばかりのセミだったのだ。

Under the flaming sun, yesterday was the day recorded the highest temparature this summer. Yes, it was scorching hot. I can only say it was a hot, trying day, and again today we are going to have another hot day. Actually today we have an overcast weather around here. The temparature will be going to keep high as yesterday's and has been already sticky.

What I bought yesterday was this. See, it looks like a robot. Right?

It is so-named 'rei-hu-sen' which is a kind of a cold blast apparatus. It generates negative ions by blasting against cool water. The mechanism is very simple that
it seems like standing an ice pillar infront of a fan and turn it on. I put it at the corner of the room and increase the impact of the cooling performance. Though it is a little bit noisy but above all, I don't fatigue with hitting against it's fan. Beside I could say it makes the room cool not like an airconditioner but is worthy.

How long this heat wave will be continued that takes off vitality from us even while taking a bleath. According to the weather forecast, it will be continued for an undetermined period that will be over the limit of our capacities.

昨日買ったもの

炎天下の中、買い物に出掛けた昨日はやはりこの夏の最高気温を記録したようだ。 暑かった。　そのひと言に限る、そんな日が今日も続く。 しかし今日は曇天の空が広がっている。 気温は蒸して相変わらずの高値止まりだ。

買ったのはこれ。 ロボットのような「冷風扇」だ。

冷たい水に風を当て、マイナスイオンを発生する。 扇風機の前に氷柱を立てて風を送る、そんな作用のものだ。 部屋の片隅に置いて、冷房効果を上げる。 少々音はうるさいが、風が当たっても疲れないし、エアコンほどではないが冷えるのは確かだ。

息をするだけで体力を奪うような猛暑は一体いつまで続くのだろうか。 人間の限界を超える日が当分続く。

I went out shopping from the morning to avoid the heat. Yes, that was a plan, but the temparature has already hit very high. When driving on the relief road, i heard the detonating sound approaching from behind. After when I reached in the city, I realized what the sound came from. It was something like a baggy or a three-wheeler.

I wonder could that be ok on a public road? Does he need to put on a helmet? He who might be that's owner drove away from my side haughtily, then passed through an intersection to the left. I noticed him with beads of sweat on his forehead. Though I became curious about that three-wheeler, but at the same time I thought that thanks for a good job under this scoaching hot weather. And looking from a vantage point inside the car.

There were clouds volumed in the sky as if they said how they were doing. They seemed to put brake on me that here here the summer sky came.

I went east blasting of hot air. I've heard that gas prices have nowhere to go but up. I looked at my car's gasoline mileage and it was 8km per liter. C'est la vie. Yeah, c'est la vie.

I left the store after the shopping. I parked my car at the roofed parking lot but it was so hot inside the car. I checked at the air temperature probe and the outside air temperature showed 41C. Not. Can't believe that. The dangerous summer is just getting started.

近づく爆音

暑くなる日中を避けて朝から買い物に出掛けた。 そのつもりだったが朝から気温はグングン上昇している。 バイパスを走っていると後ろから爆音が近づいてきた。 そのまま市内へ突入して、その爆音が何であるかわかった。 バギーのような、オート三輪のような乗り物だった。

公道を走ってもいいのだろうか？ ヘルメットを着用しなくてもいいのだろうか？ その主はちょっとえらそうに横を走り抜け、交差点を左に曲がって行った。 額の汗を私は見逃さなかった。 ちょっと気になるが、暑いだろうにご苦労なことだと、車窓から涼しい目線を投げかけた。

空の雲が「どうだ！」と言わんばかりに、ニョキニョキと湧き上がっていた。 いかにも夏だと牽制しているようだった。

東へ東へ、熱風をまき散らして走る。 来月からガソリン代が値上がりするらしい。 燃費はどうだろうかと調べてみると、８kmだった。 そんなものだろうか、そんなものだろう。

買い物が終わり店を出た。 屋根付きの駐車場に停めていたのに暑い。 外気温が４１℃だと表示された。 うそだろう。 危険な夏はまだ始まったばかり。

Even hot nor cold, only the weeds are dense in the garden. I have always gotten worried about the weeds. Then I mustered up enough courage to dig weeds under the flaming sun. Put on a jean coverall and a bright greened sleeveless T-shirt,
and an insect deterrent spray. Well, near to perfection, uh? The music came from a radio which was Yazawa's. And my favorite. I worked hard with hitting my strides.

I think back on what my mothere used to say, " You should always fix up all right ." At that time, I looked at her from inside the house where was cool. And wondered, " Do what you want and see if I care about the weeds? You do so hared under the heat."

Can you recognize my footprints that show moving back and forth? I conjured up the image of my mother when she did the same thing what I did today. I found the similarity between my mother and I impressive that we are surely a parent and a child. I wonder she might defend her nest and manage a house to protect the livelihood of her own.

After that, I took a shower with a temparature lower than usual, then changed clothes, one-piece. Oh my goodness, I did it well that I deemed myself to.

As is to be expected, the heat kicked me little. Then I took a nap and relaxed watching the Argentine movie 'Bon Bon'.

暑かろうが寒かろうが、雑草だけはグングン伸びる。 前から気になっていた。 意を決して炎天下、草取りをした。 つなぎのジーンズを履き若草色のノースリーブに虫除けスプレー、完璧だ。 ラジオから矢沢の歌が流れてくる。 調子に乗って頑張った。

「いつもちゃんとしとかなきゃ･･･」、そう言っていた母の姿を思い出す。 その時は涼しい家の中から眺めていた。 「草なんかどうでもいいのに。　暑いのによくやるよ。」 そんなことを思っていた。

行ったり来たりした足跡が見えるだろうか。 草を取っている自分を、その時の母の姿に重ねた。 親子だなぁ･･･と、いつの間にかそっくりな自分に驚く。 母は家を大事に、住まいを大切に暮らしていたのだと思う。

低めの温度でシャワーを浴びて、ワンピースに着替えた。 ふぅ～、今日も頑張った自分、えらいじゃないかと思った。

At the time of earthquake happened this morning, I got preparation for morning routine little bit earlier than usual. I noticed something fishy which was moving slowly on the fixed window up over the trash box. So shocked that I had the racing pulse. A house lizard flattened himself agaist the window. Hey you, you got into my house because I opened the kitchen door without asking.

He was surprised and so was I, but not the same as when I was a kid. I still remenber when I worried through a sleepless night because of so scared of him moving out of the window. I am infinitely bad at a reptile and insects that I don't think I could ever live with a reptile in my house. It's exactly the same as it was but the fear has weakened much more than before. There is nothing to be afraid of him so much like a child as I'v gotten older. Yeah, I have to.

Well I baked some fancy soft cookies today as I wanted something sweet to make. I put chopped pistachio nuts from which my friend passed in cookies. I was satisfied with the result after when I checked for doneness that the bitter taste of cocoa powder was still reminded covered with the sweetness of brown sugar naturally. But I got heat rash on my forehead while moving in and out infront of the oven. Yes, that was scorching hot. So childish, uh? Don't tell anybody, just between you and me.

I ate some cocoa cookies with cool milk at elevenses. Now here comes the cool evening as I sprinkled with water. It was a quite long day since morning, wasn't it.

地震で明けた今朝、いつもより少し早めに朝の準備を始めた。 ごみ箱の上の窓に何やら動くものが目に入った。 心臓に悪いったら･･･ヤモリくんが内側にへばり付いていた。 勝手口を開けていたからこっそり忍び込んだんだね、君。
